The CCAWV Board of Directors selects a Rising Star recipient each year. This was established in 2003 and was created to allow those board members to recognize leadership within the Association outside of the Board of Directors.
The award is to recognize a Commissioner who:
- Goes beyond the call of duty to actively participate and advance the goals of the County Commissioners’ Association and
- Who vigorously works to preserve the responsibilities of the office of county commissioner.
