Well here goes nothing or should I say everything, as we are in one of the most challenging times in our history. The economy has been in a downward spiral, unemployment rates are up and our citizens are looking to county commissioners for answers. 

West Virginia is one state that is not suffering financially as are many of the other states.  Our financial house is in order and the eyes of the world are focused on our state, counties and cities.

We may face difficult economic times; however with our greatest natural resource being our PELPLE we will continue to prosper. 

As President of the County Commission Association, I hope you keep in mind your duties as you took the oath of office.  This oath is not to be taken lightly.  We will all succeed as long as we remember why we chose to run for this political office.  We want the children of the next generation to be better off then we were as children.
